Borjomi is a resort town in Georgia, in the region of Samtskhe-Javakheti. The city of Borjomi is famous for its homonymous mineral water, which is very popular and highly demanded in many countries of the world. Borjomi is 850 meters above the sea level, surrounded by dense coniferous forests. Borjomi has a mild climate. During the archeological excavations in Borjomi, there were revealed stone baths, which indicate that the mineral waters of Borjomi are known from the ancient times.
There are more than 200 historical monuments located in the gorge of Borjomi including castles, monastery complexes and other monuments. One of the most interesting from them is the house of the consulate of Iran in Caucasus Mirza-Reza khan, as well as the royal castle of the Romanovs.
