Jermuk is a town-resort in Vayots Dzor region of Armenia. Jermuk is surrounded by mountains covered with forests, 2080meters above the sea level on a small plateau which is separated by the Arpa River Gorge.
Jermuk is located in the south-eastern part of Armenia, in the province of Vayots Dzor. Jermuk is not only a source of many legends, but also a is very famous for its numerous historical and cultural monuments, rich with lots of gorges, caves and high cliffs which attract many tourists who like extremal tourism ( Arpa - Sevan tunnel, Gndevank, Vardani Kar, Medieval University of Gladzor, Noravank Monastery etc).
