Noravank monastery complex (Amaghu Noravank) is built in XIII-XIV centuries. It is located in Vayots Dzor region, 3 kilometers far from Amaghu village. The main church of the complex is the two story mausoleum – shurch of Burtel trout, called St. Astvatsatsin (1339).
In 17-18 centuries the monastery was surrounded by walls. The ruins of that the building which were situated on the east side, date back to that times. There are a lot of cross stones, especially the ones made by famous Momik in the territory of the complex. The memorial cross stone dedicated to Momik is also located in Noravank.
